Layer Dip for Superbowl XLVI
Sunday, February 05, 2012
I'm not sure I'm super excited about the Superbowl today. I know a lot of you may feel a little like this little guy because your team didn't make it... but it is Superbowl Sunday. So, to honor a great tradition of watching the game, eating fattening food and loving the commercials (fingers crossed), I thought I'd make a yummy layer dip. It's easy to make and delicious.
Layer Dip
1 can re-fried beans
2 cups sour cream
1 pkg. (1/4 cup) taco seasoning
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 cups chopped iceberg lettuce
1 small tomato, diced
sliced jalapeno peppers, optional
sliced black olives, optional
Mix sour cream with taco seasoning. On a large serving plate, layer re-fried beans, taco flavored sour cream, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Sprinkle jalapenos and olives around perimeter if desired. Serve with a good quality corn chip. Prepare to be addicted.
Fingers crossed for the Giants to win. I like Eli Manning. Labels: appetizer dip mexican dish superbowl 0 Comments
