Dr. Seuss

March 2nd is Dr. Seuss's (Theodor Seuss Geisel) birthday.
To honor his contribution as a great children's author, It is a great day to have some
fun with your kids.
Start off the day by serving them green eggs and ham for breakfast...
or put some of these in their lunchbox.
Green eggs and ham...or bacon get it?
Two pretzel sticks, white chocolate and a green m&m.

Then take your darlings to the movie The Lorax; which opens March 2nd in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday.  To see a trailer for the movie, click the link above.  Then bring your kids home for a Seussical dessert.  You could also decorate your home a'la seuss by making these "trees".

It's a Styrofoam ball on a plunger with a feather boa glued to the the ball.  Way easy and cute too.

If your kids like to play on the computer...connect here to go to seussville.com.  It has great games and stories for little ones.

For other great sites for Seuss-inspired ideas look no further than here, here and here.

Or, if time got away from you and your don't have time to organize a party, read your kids a Dr. Seuss book.  Our favorites are Fox in Socks,  Oh The Places You'll Go and Green Eggs and Ham.

I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes by the birthday boy:
