Million Dollar Spaghetti

It is getting a little cool outside so I thought it would be great to have a little comfort food for dinner tonight.  As I was browsing Pinterest, this recipe caught my eye.  Million Dollar Spaghetti?  How could it not be delicious?  Bonus, I had everything I needed to make this delicious dish.  I'm going to let you in on a little secret; it did not disappoint!  My youngest asked for seconds!  That is unheard of in this house!  Cheers to finding a recipe that's a keeper and cheers to fall!

Brown a pound of ground beef.  Season it with salt and pepper, drain fat.

Meanwhile, boil spaghetti noodles (8 oz) until al dente.

Use a jar (in my case, a can) of spaghetti sauce.  I always use Hunts from a can.  It is the cheapest, but it totally worked for this recipe.

Mix in with the browned beef.

Combine cottage cheese, cream cheese and sour cream in a bowl.

Mix well.

Cut a few pieces of butter and place on the bottom of the baking dish.  Layer 1/2 of the noodles over the butter.

Glop the creamy mixture over the noodles.

Spread well.

If you buy pre-bagged cheese, skip this part.  Otherwise, shred the cheese.

Layer the other half of the noodles over the cream sauce.  Slice a few more pieces of butter and dot the top.

Add meat sauce.

Again, spread so it covers the noodles.

Spread a generous amount of cheese over meat mixture.

See the lovely layers?  Mmmmm.

Cook at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes.  Serve with a green salad and crusty garlic bread.  Seriously, so good.  Seriously.
