Blood Punch

Hey Ghouls and Goblins.  I know, I know, Halloween is over but, I also know that since you are all friendly, compassionate readers, you will refer to this post and realize that my hands were tied in the frenzy leading up to All Hallow's Eve.  Therefore, I am still posting a few recipes and entertaining ideas that you can pin or file or clip and save it for next year.  Then, when next Halloween rolls around, you will have all of these neatly filed ideas that no one else is doing.  Your neighbors will be amazed and your children will be impressed.  This year we drank a delicious concoction named Blood Punch.  It is easy to make and has a surprising citrus taste.  My kids loved it.

You'll need cranberry juice, lemon juice, blood orange syrup and wax fangs.  Oh, and dry ice if you're a cool mom like me. (wink)

Mix ingredients in a large punch bowl.  My kids liked it best with an extra splash of lemon juice.

Before serving, add the fangs...ooooh eerie.

And the dry ice.  A masterpiece.  I bet (pregnant) Bella would love this!

Blood Punch

2 bottles (32 ounces each) cranberry juice, chilled
1 cup lemon juice

2 cups blood orange Italian soda syrup, chilled
Ice cubes and/or dry ice
Wax candy fangs

In a large punch bowl, combine the cranberry juice, lemon juice and syrup; stir well.

Just before serving, add the dry ice and candy fangs.
About 3 1/2 quarts
