Refreshing Lemonade
Saturday, August 10, 2013
This is my son. He's is an artist. He likes to take common objects and create a perfect masterpiece. He wanted to make lemonade... not the powdery fake stuff but freshly squeezed, refreshing lemonade.
So we did. It was delicious. It was easy to make too. Take a dozen lemons, squeeze them and strain out any seeds. Meanwhile, simmer water and sugar to make a simple syrup. Let cool. Add the strained lemon juice and stir together.
Add the lemon water to a 1 gallon pitcher. Fill with cold water. Mix together well. Slice a lemon into thin slices. Put ice and lemon slices in individual glasses and fill with lemonade. Perfect for a lazy summer day.
