MY top 10 Favorite Recipes for 2011

Yesterday I posted the top 10 viewed posts on my blog.  Now I'm going to post my top favorite recipes. I couldn't choose just 10, so I listed my favorite 15.  These posts are in no particular order.  Just recipes I make often because they are so delicious.

Monkey Bread.  I've had Monkey Bread many times but they are usually on the dry side.  I found this recipe while surfing Pioneer Woman's blog and I have made it a ton ever since.  This monkey bread is cinnamon-y and gooey and delicious.
Texas Sheet Cake.  This is my go-to cake when my family is craving something chocolaty.  I got this recipe about 12 years ago from a friend (who coincidentally lived in Texas).  It is moist and delicious...even better the next day.
Lil Cheddars. These little meat loafs may not look that great but my family loves them.  I make them at least once a month.  If you like meatloaf with a sweet sauce, this recipe is for you.
Fresh Peaches and Cream Pie.  This pie is refreshingly delicious.  Only four ingredients.  This pie is a must-try.  I promise you'll love it.
Artisan Bread.  Love, love, love this bread.  It takes a little time to make 'cuz it has to raise over night.  The end result is a loaf of bread that you could find at any high-end bakery.
Gooey Toffee Butter Cake.  I saw Paula Dean make this on the Cooking Network.  She made it in about 10 minutes; I thought, "That's my kind of cake".  I made it and took it to a friend's party and got lots of compliments on it.  Caveat:  I like the cake more on the chewy side, so I cook it for 50 minutes.  It sounds like a long cooking time but the end result is a yummy, chewy  bar.
Homemade Doughnuts.  Pioneer Woman comes to the rescue again.  This is such a fun family project.  We made these doughnuts on a rare night when we were all home and boy, were they delicious.  They are best when they're hot.
Pulled Pork Sandwiches. Just throw all of the ingredients in your Crock Pot in the morning; then shred the pork a half hour before you serve it.  Delicious on a toasted roll.
Enchilada Soup. I came across this as I was going through one of my favorite blogs.   I have made it quite a few times.  Each time I make it I get compliments on it.  Plus, as a bonus, everyone in my family loves it!
Pasta Salad Primavera. Delicious pasta salad with mozzarella, artichoke hearts, olives, tomatoes, peas and broccoli.  Great with a sandwich or alone. Fantastic!
Tres Leches.  Need I say more?  Please note:  this picture was taken with a point and shoot while my Canon was in the hospital.  It really is an impressive looking cake.
Oatmeal Cake.  I know, I know, it sounds too healthy to be good.  But rest assured, it is a gooey, sweet dessert.  This is one of my favorite cakes.  Best served warm with vanilla bean ice cream.
Chicken Pot Pie.  A family favorite.  This is a classic from Betty Crocker.  A comfort food that will make any family happy.
Taco Soup.  My go-to when I have no time to make dinner.  My family loves it.  The best thing about it is, you can double or triple the recipe.  It can be frozen and it makes great leftovers.
Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies with Melted Chocolate. I love anything with peanut butter and chocolate.  When I found this recipe, I made them immediately.  Love them.  They are large cookies and very chewy.  Probably good with crunchy peanut butter too.  Sometimes I make the dough, roll them into 1/4 cup balls, freeze them and put them into a gallon-size zip loc bag so I can make a few at a time.  Yum.

There you have it.  My all-time favorite recipes that I make most often.  I'm looking forward to 2012 to the many more recipes that I will be posting.  Here's to you and I keeping our new year's resolutions!
